Johnson's Beach Main

Johnson's Beach & Resort is located in the casual, little Northern California town of Guerneville on the Russian River. It is downtown within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. A few miles away are hiking trails, redwoods and wine tasting. The Pacific Ocean is 14 miles to the west. Johnson's Beach is open from 10 am to 6 pm, seven days a week, mid May to early October, weather permitting. There is no charge for parking. Please do not bring alcohol, glass containers or dogs.
		The Beach has canoes, kayaks and paddleboats for rent plus umbrellas, inner tubes, and beach chairs. A snack bar is located on the Beach as well as a boat launch. Our prices are very reasonable!!! A popular spot is the roped-off kiddies' pool area.

The Resort opens earlier and closes later in the year than the Beach, also depending on the weather. There is a campground and rustic, cabin-type rooms. Camping is on a first-come, first-served basis and room reservations are by the week. All rooms are non-smoking and have bathrooms, refrigerators, and TVs. We do not allow dogs in the Resort.

The Russian River is an old-time resort area. Johnson's has been in existence since around World War I and has been owned and operated by just three different families in all that time. Guerneville is still a tourist town that has turned into a bedroom community for beautiful Sonoma County and beyond. It is a great place to explore or just take it easy. Need directions?
